First, if you haven’t checked out our inversion therapy videos, they offer many tips on workouts you can use on your own inversion table.

Don’t Overdo It

Remember you spend most of the time standing upright or sitting in an upright position. Your body and blood flow are used to a life that’s upright. You only need 10 minutes to a half hour a day on your inversion table, to fully feel the benefits it provides. It doesn’t take much to stretch your muscles, and spinal vertebrae enough to release those pinched and compressed nerves. Don’t overdo it. If you feel uncomfortable, get yourself back into an upright position. Remember to take things slow.

Relax

Meditation and relaxation is one of the best things you can do for both your mind and your body. Form a relaxing mood before you use your inversion table. Relax your body and allow the inversion table to stretch those tight ligaments and joints. Relax and let gravity do its job.

Use Your Inversion Table Regularly

It only takes a few minutes a day on the inversion table to fully feel it’s healthy and beneficial effects on the body. We recommend setting a time in the morning and a time in the evening when you can utilize your inversion table. Be good to yourself and decompress that spine.

Start Slowly

We know you want to feel the best to you can feel, but with any new exercise or physical activity, you should take it as slow as possible, and fit your comfort level. Start slowly if you’re just beginning. In no time at all you’ll be an advanced inversion table Pro.

Performing a sit up while in the inverted position will strengthen and tone your abdominal muscles. In this video Dr. Ed shows an abdominal workout on his inversion table.

Start with a little crunch, which strengthens, and tightens the abdominal muscles. Repeat the procedure as many times as you are comfortable with. For advanced crunches, cross your arms in front of your body. This is a little tougher, but willl give you a great abdominal workout on your inversion table.
