Performing a sit up while in the inverted position will strengthen and tone your abdominal muscles. In this video Dr. Ed shows an abdominal workout on his inversion table.
Start with a little crunch, which strengthens, and tightens the abdominal muscles. Repeat the procedure as many times as you are comfortable with. For advanced crunches, cross your arms in front of your body. This is a little tougher, but willl give you a great abdominal workout on your inversion table.

Lean back on the inversion table, and lean your arms back behind your head. The inversion table will slowly tilt backward, placing you in an inverted position. With your hands hanging below your head, you’ll gradually feel your spine extending. You’ll also feel a pulling of your abdominal muscles and organs back into place.
