Start with a little crunch, which strengthens, and tightens the abdominal muscles. Repeat the procedure as many times as you are comfortable with. For advanced crunches, cross your arms in front of your body. This is a little tougher, but willl give you a great abdominal workout on your inversion table.

In this video, spinal decompression and what makes up the different components of the spine are discussed. Hippocrates was one of the first physicians to use gravity and inversion in decompressing the spine. Today, with the technology of inversion tables, we are able to easily achieve this beneficial therapy.

The goal of spinal decompression is to get the primary and secondary curves of your back into position. Moving down from the cervical spine to the thoracic region, the secondary curve stretches forward, the primary curve stretches back, and the secondary curve stretches forward again.
